Fully self-contained accommodation on Salt Spring Island (Gulf Islands) British Columbia. Located on Satellite Channel, in the south end of the island, steps from the Ecological Reserve. Very special glass and cedar cottage in a spectacular ocean and forest setting.

Nestled amongst fir, arbutus, and garry oak on 7 sunny southwest-facing acres, accessible oceanfront. The cottage is fully equipped including all linens, with a full bath, a bedroom with queen-size bed, a loft with twin beds, a pull-out couch, a sun-room, wrap-around deck, and a magnificent view of the ocean and forest

We are located on seven acres of ocean/forest property, so it is very private - you can't see the neighbours. We get a lot of honeymooners. The main cottage (Daffodil) is at the top of a slope, facing south, so that you have both oceanfront and ocean view. There is a trail to the water, to a pretty spot for marine life watching.

The water is accessible with interesting rock formations. It is not a swimming beach; there is a sandy beach with playground 5 minutes away by car, and a walk-on beach (not sandy) a short hike along the waterfront from here. The cottage has a glass-front woodstove (besides electric heat), and a wrap-around deck. There is cable TV and wifi. A barbecue is provided.

The cottage is located at the south end of the island at a large nature reserve. It is very much liked by people who enjoy nature, wildlife watching (we have resident eagles on the premises), hiking and other outdoor sports. Everything is supplied (towels, sheets, etc) except your groceries. The nearest store and restaurants are about 5 miles away in the Village of Fulford Harbour. Most services including supermarkets are in the main town of Ganges, about 14 miles away.
